Hello and welcome to the first blog post of "Two twats in a tut tut". Pretty much what it says on the tin really, we're a couple of "Lads from Oxford" who think it'll be fun to buy a Rickshaw in Western India and drive it 2000km to Bangladesh - encountering anything and everything on our way. We hope to be posting on here as much as we can - with pictures if the dodgy internet of the Indian subcontinent allows it.
John arrived early Wednesday morning and has already been doing some great work researching tut-tut sales. As a complete oversight on our part, it turns out Delhi has had a ban on Tut-tuts since 2008. Whoops. As such, the search for a vehicle continues Westwards. John is now headed to Udaipur (think the Lake Palace in Octopussy) where he hopes to source the illustrious tut tut. He was also advised by a "friend of the hotel owner" that he has a "Friend's Cousin who knows someone who owns a used tut tut sales shop" in Srinagar - high up in the Himalayas near the disputed border with Pakistan - not ideal, but a lead perhaps worth following if Udaipur comes out fruitless.
